Elmbrook Senior Taxi (EST)
Serving the Community since 1993
Some of EST's Driving Destinations:
An invaluable service that I depend on daily, and the drivers are always polite.
Wouldn't miss the daily lunch at the Senior Center. I am partially blind and am so happy to have this ride. At the Center I spend an hour a day with my friends, and have a hot cooked meal. So thankful for this service to and from my physical therapy appointments. At 96 years old I gave up my license due to my deteriorating eyesight. I need the cab to take me to the grocery store.
Really appreciate the door-to-door service because I use a walker. They pull in my driveway, sometimes into my garage. They drop me off at the door of where I am going. They open doors for me when I am not able to.
What EST Drivers are Hearing from Riders:
One of the hardest things I had to do as a senior was give up my driver's license. I don't know what I would do without the senior taxi service.
This transportation has given me the freedom to stay active and get to necessary appointments. My family is out of town and cannot help me as often as I need.
Established in November, 1993, by Sandy Wolff as a 501.c.3 non-profit organization.
Serves those [ambulatory] seniors and disabled adults in the local community who, due to circumstances in their lives, are no longer able to drive, yet want to be active in the community and keep their quality of life.
Drivers are screened through the DMV for safe and clean driving records. Drivers also take a defensive driving class.
We are growing. With increased riders, we are seeking an additional vehicle in excellent condition.
Please keep all driveways and walkways clear of snow and ice for the safety of our riders and drivers.
